Motorclassica at the Movies

Cars and movies go hand in hand and we were pleased to bring back some of the essence of the drive-in with the 2017 Motorclassica @ the Movies.  In 2017 we were proud to present a program of new release film biographies and documentaries celebrating motorsports. Visitors were encouraged to grab some popcorn, sit back and put their feet up for these great movies:

McLaren (2017)
The story of Bruce McLaren, the New Zealander who founded the McLaren Motor Racing team. A man who showed the world that a man of humble beginnings could take on the elite of motor racing and win.

1 (2013)
Set in the golden era of Grand Prix Racing ‘1’ tells the story of a generation of charismatic drivers who raced on the edge, risking their lives during Formula 1’s deadliest period, and the men who stood up and changed the sport forever.

Senna (2010)
Buckle in and hit the blacktop with Brazilian Formula One champion Ayrton Senna as filmmaker Asif Kapadia draws on archival footage to reveal how the humble world-renowned racer blasted past the competition to become a true living legend

Steve McQueen: The Man and Le Mans (2015)
The story of obsession, betrayal and ultimate vindication. It is the story of how one of the most volatile, charismatic stars of his generation, who seemingly lost so much he held dear in the pursuit of his dream, nevertheless followed it to the end.
